Description and Recommendations
A hydrogenated base oil (from Hydrocraking) with special additives that provide the properties required in continuous steel casting. Empatem CC-30 GS is particularly suitable for lubricating theextraction from the mould of cast steel prepared in the crucible in cases where minimum carbonaceous residue is needed.
Properties
Provides an excellent finish on the ingots. Minimum sulphur content, meaning that possible toxicity of machine operators is avoided, as is corrosion of the moulds.Very low aromatics, reducingbothersome smoke to a minimum. Good lubricating power for the requirements it is subjectto.Minimum losses due to volatility.Very low tendency to form carbonaceous residue.

Danger of physical pollution if spilt (water, coastlines, soil, etc.) due to its floatability and oily consistency that may harm flora and fauna on contact. Prevent the material from entering the water supply. Decontamination and cleaning: Treat as an accidental oil spillage. Avoid dispersion using
mechanical barriers and remove with physical or chemical elements.
